Taste Our Best
Here at Albert Villa we take pride in using quality produce and showcasing some of the best local and Scottish Food producers in the food we prepare. Scotland’s food and drink comes from unspoilt habitats and varied weather, which are perfect for producing a wide variety of high quality fresh fruit and vegetables, fish, meat and much more.

Below is a summary of the provenance of the produce used in our menus, where possible and in season.

Our beef sausages are made by our local butcher D G Lindsay who sources their meat from Perthshire farms. Our bacon is also supplied by D G Lindsay and sourced from Ardrossan in Ayrshire. Haggis is from MacSweens and the black pudding from McKechnie Jess of Greenock made with recipes handed down through generations of the McKechnie and Jess families for over a century.

Our kippers are from east coast Scottish waters and supplied by Arbroath fish merchants Stuarts Fresh Fish at Smokies Direct.

Tomatoes and berries in season are Scottish.

Milk from Aldi supplied to them by Scottish dairies. Eggs are Free Range delivered weekly from Gloagburn Farm in Perthshire.

Porridge made from Scott’s Porage Oats milled near Cupar Fife.
